this was a good food weekend (even the pizza on friday night from orgasmica was good), a good friends weekend, and with the exception of another pitiful showing by the 49ers, a good sports weekend too.....

ewa and her friend jodi had a lackluster garage sale saturday morning/afternoon, and made a whopping $30 between the two of them. i declined to participate, as my time was better spent sitting on my butt watching tv and reading cookbooks. . . which is my codename for heaven.

we ate dinner at capaninna saturday night, which is this very good italian place on union and laguna. . . i've eaten there 4 or 5 times now, and each time it has been fantastic. . . we had 3 great appetizers - i had damn good primi, and then all our main dishes were excellent too....we ended with some small cream puffs dipped in caramel and a few glasses of the owners private stock of lemoncello (since they only have a beer and wine license, it was all very hush hush) . . . after that it was a few more cocktails at home and a bit of headache in the morning. . .

sunday morning was spent at the ferry building, which is really the best place to spend most mornings, and the afternoon was spent making beef bourgonionm, watching football, and reading the paper. . .as if that wasnt good enough, my sister and gary came over for dinner and there was a news simpsons! really, what else (besides having monday off) could have made it a better weekend?
