blow up o'reilly and blow hawkings. . .

so thanks to intense coverage by the sf chronicle, everyone in the bay area knows about fox's bill oreilly's statements about blowing up san francisco - if not, here is a taste:

"You know, if I'm the president of the United States, I walk right into Union Square, I set up my little presidential podium and I say, 'Listen, citizens of San Francisco, if you vote against military recruiting, you're not going to get another nickel in federal funds."

and then,

"Fine. You want to be your own country? Go right ahead, and if al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead." (see full chronicle article here)

well, no need to point out the fact that his is an idiot, but i will anyway, he is an idiot. besides the obvious stupidy of his comment, one person pointed out the the two things he holds near and dear to his heart are herosim and courage. . . the two things coit tower was built to honor - the heroism and courage of sf firefighters. i wont talk about it anymore because i just dont want to lend any credence to his statements, no matter how stupid they are. . .

on an unrelated note, leah garchik, society columnist extrodanaire reported this in her column today:

"Physicist, scholar of space and time and (apparently) peep show fan Stephen Hawking visited the clubs of Broadway, including Centerfolds, on Tuesday, before going to Enrico's. Hawking was to speak at the Paramount in Oakland on Thursday night."

that guy is my hero . . . he develops a theory of creation for the everyman to read, and goes to strip clubs. . . what a man!
