it seems that that jack kerouac has come up in my conversations the past few weeks - i thas come up a few times with my friend eva, to the point that i loaned her my favorite kerouac book, "the dharma bums.' i even quoted the last paragraph of 'on the road' in my last blog - although you've never really heard it until you've heard him read it, which is on disc three of the beat generation box set, which of course, i own.

tonight i was checking out 'nip/tuck' with my cousin - the quote of the day coming from one male doctor to another, speaking about their female psychologist on staff, " I don't want her here. She's a trouble maker and her shoes are cheap." my god, how can you not love that line. . .
