flaming piles of love

i've been groovin' on a lot of good music lately - really loving the stuff that has been coming out, but i must say, mostly i've been loving the flaming lips. i've always been a fan, but am really loving their stuff now. i've mostly been listening to 'yoshimi battles the pink robot,' and as i was laying wide awake in bed last night, unable to sleep (probably cause i was still on a high after watching the latest installment of the 'oc'), i popped in 'yoshimi battles the pink robot,' popped on the headphones, and grooved baby! i had never listened to it with headphones before, and i was blown away - it was fantastic - i'm not sure i can ever listen to it sans headphones again.
